Massage

Various forms of massage have been around for hundreds of years, so there is no need to explain what it is.

However, I do believe that people underestimate the power of a massage, and unfortunately it is still considered to be a luxury by many. So what can massage do for you?

Touch - the importance of touch in everyday life should be obvious, but again it is underestimated.

Touch has a calming effect, it signals trust and safety.

Massage activates the body's vagus nerve, and the brain releases hormones: oxytocin, the feel good hormone and serotonin, the body's natural antidepressant and anti pain chemical.

Massage is known to boosts the immune system, reduce pain, relieve stress, aid sleep and decrease your heart rate.

It is a safe place where you can just be, without any pressure from work/home/family. It gives you the time out that we very seldom get in our day-to-day life.

Combine all these effects and you will understand that massage is essential to your mental and physical wellbeing.
